IT'S MAGIC
Like many of my clothes, this dress has a backstory. This dress was purchased during a shopping spree with my mom several years ago in San Diego. The way the story goes is, we were in the store looking for clothes, dresses specifically, for summer. I believe I was at a point where I didn't really have the energy to look around anymore but my mom, the super shopper, continued to look through the massive amount of racks to help me find a few dresses I could try on. She pulled this dress out and immediately I said 'no', thinking it would not only not look good on me, but that it wasn't my style. But, she asked me to humor her, so, I did, and tried the dress on. It fit perfectly. Just like a glove. And was so flattering. So, I bought it. And the dress sat untouched in my closet for a very long time because I never really thought it was my style- too "grown-up" I guess. It would have looked weird for a young adult female to be wearing such a dress in San Diego. At least, that's what I thought. But now in Europe, as a slightly older adult, and a style evolution so drastic that even I surprise myself sometimes, I wear the dress. And often. It is so chic and comfortable, shows my curves exquisitely and hides my flaws brilliantly, with an added bonus of not having to wear a bra. It really is a magic dress.
