THE SEASON I CALL "WAITING FOR SUMMER"

They say spring is coming in Budapest....I am a little skeptical when it's 10 degrees Celsius outside and people make this statement. For me, spring starts at like 20, and maybe I'm just spoiled, you know it was really tough growing up in San Diego; brutal winters ;) But, to the credit of the weather, I have noticed a change and I am loving it! The weather needs to warm up faster, and I need summer to be here yesterday. But, until then, I have to enjoy the "spring" weather which is upon us. To make it easier I have this amazing transitional jacket which I bought on sale at Mango, one of my favorite stores. It's great because you can wear it with the faux fur hood lining and extra padding around your torso, or you can take it out when the weather does indeed get warmer. The color is a military green, which really makes it stand out from some of the more traditional colors. It's also long so it does keep you covered when it is slightly chilly, a word I would use to describe 10 degrees Celsius. And it can be worn with jeans, a skirt, heels, or converse. It's very versatile. I basically live in the jacket during the transitional season. While the weather improves, I love to spend time outside. One of my favorite places is St. Stephen's basilica which happens to be a five minute walk from my apartment. During the day it's great to hang out and drink coffee. And at night they have bars and restaurants with amazing food and drinks. This is one of the hottest spots to be on summer nights. Hopefully something I will get to experience really soon, as my favorite warm months approach us.
